Appeals
Appellate courts exist in order to ensure that trial courts apply the law fairly and correctly. When the trial court gets it wrong, your client can suffer an unjust result that should not be allowed to stand. On the other hand, there are few things more frightening as a trial lawyer than the prospect of having your hard-fought trial victory overturned on appeal. Whether you are an appellant trying to correct reversible error or an appellee trying to protect your verdict, the stakes can be extremely high.
You don’t have to deal with this uncertainty on your own. When the difference between winning and losing on appeal cannot be left to chance, it is worth it to make sure that your argument is presented in the most effective way possible.
We offer our appellate practice services to other lawyers on whatever basis works best for everyone involved. We are happy to consult with other lawyers about appellate matters that they will be handling, or we can take over full responsibility for the appeal including all briefing and argument — or anything in between. Let us know how we can help.
